 Perspective: Narrative

Jason was brilliant.  He had always been the stereotypical nerd.

“You are destined for great things,” every adult had told him.  And they seemed to be right.  Jason had grown up to create the largest computer company ever.  “Jarsonics, the new face of electronics.”  Jason was star guest of ‘The Tomorrow Show,’ and was the third richest man in the world.  But one thing had always bothered him.  Death.  He searched and searched for a way to stay young.  Then, one night, it came to him.  Holograms.  They never died.  He became obsessed with the idea.  He hardly ate and never slept.  This went on for 5 years until he finally had a breakthrough.

He stepped into the glass chamber, crossed his legs and adapted his face into his signature smile.  Then he began to change.  The change was relatively fast and altogether painless.  Jason had become a hologram.  A thinking hologram with all of Jason’s memories, thoughts and consciousness.  But then came the blackout of 2135.  It came just seconds after Jason had completed his transformation.  Everything was wiped from systems everywhere.

Jason Hall was gone forever.

I had gotten so close to success.  The plan had been so carefully planned out...  Shakespeare had been at the Globe, my assassin had been placed close by...  That's when everything had disintegrated...  SHAKESPEARE SHOULD BE DEAD!  I, being his identical twin, should be impersonating him!  He has written enough plays to last me for years!  Using his close acquaintance with the queen, I could've taken over all of England!  I could've had it all, DONE IT ALL if it wasn't for that boy.  Yes, the boy must go before Shakespeare can go, and Shakespeare must go before England can go...

I tried hard to think over the heavy, loud breathing and the Imperial March music blaring out of the speakers.  Darth Vader.  Huh.  Somehow appropriate.  I peered through the mask at the thousands of people attending the parade, my gloved hands tightened on the bar of the black jeep.  All of these puny humans.  Ha!  They will remember this day.  An audible laugh escaped from my mouth as I realized that they were clapping, clapping for death.  Their death.  My tongue flashed over my fangs as I anticipated the kill.  My brothers and I had been waiting for this moment for years.  Planet Earth would be ours.  I smiled as the music rose.  Soon.  Very soon.
Picture credit goes to random magazines...  I really have no idea where these pictures came from. (Hope I don't get sued.) Sorry about the bad quality for the first one...
